I was there for a week for work. I rented a PURE Wellness room. Let me start with the pro. I left food in my frig and didn't remember for a few hours after I left. They had someone gather my food and allowed me to return and get it. I really appreciated that. Now to the cons. I got up during the night on the first night to use the restroom. The lights are on motion sensors and turn on when you move so lights are going off. That totally destroyed my sleep. I thought they would go right off again, but the one took over an hour when I tested it. I had to get up a second time to turn off the lights. I'm there for a good night's sleep and definitely didn't get one. I don't remember having motion sensors in hotel rooms. I had a headache all day and couldn't work efficiently. The next day after returning to the hotel, I asked the front desk how to turn off the motion sensors. Her name was Jenny, and she asked why I expected her to know. She just runs the front desk. So I asked do I go get duct tape and tape up the sensors, and she just shrugged. With such unhelpfulness at the front desk, I didn't bother her with the other questions/problems I had. I was too tired to go back out so I used things in the room: ironing board and sheets and blankets in the closet, towels, etc. It was a hassle to use the lights and re-set every night, but at least they didn't go off during the middle of the night again. I thought of the good things about the PURE Wellness but didn't think of the bad. The fans were extremely loud -- well beyond white noise which helps you to sleep. It was also impossible to do a conference call or even a telephone call in the room. I either had to leave the room or go in the bathroom and close the door -- neither is good for work calls. They have a desk for working in the room but didn't bother to put lighting there. Can't see or hear. I used the pool a couple of times while there. There were storms which brought down palm fronds and other debris. They cleared the walkway by throwing the fronds and debris on the grass but didn't clear anything from the pool or hot tub. They also didn't have clean towels -- only left dirty ones in the bin. I used room towels. The breakfast didn't work for me. The waffles were pre-made and had clusters of sugar in each bite. Breakfast was late each and every single day even though there were quite a few people waiting each morning at 6:30. The women running it put bowls, plates, and silverware out last and gave people the evil eye if they used a coffee cup to get food or took whole fruit while they were still setting up even if it was already 6:40 and people have to get to jobs. They clearly knew how long it took to set up and clearly planned to be late every day, I planned to use a gift card to pay for my room. The woman didn't know how to use it so I was forced to use my credit card. Not what I planned for but pretty consistent with my experiences there.

This hotel is seriously in need of renovation. The bathroom smells and I think it is mildew in the wallpaper. We requested and received confirmation for handicapped room but were told there was only one such in the hotel and it was unavailable. There was a seat in the bathtub but it couldn't be pulled down to use. We called maintenance and they couldn't figure how to use it either. The buttons to flush the toilet are on the wrong side so you have to reach over the toilet and hold the buttons down to flush. If you don't hold it down long enough, it doesn't flush. There is a kitchenette but we were not provided with even one complimentary bottle of water. The garbage can in the kitchen is too small to even toss in our take out containers. The rooms are plain and need an update. Bed was comfortable though as were the pillows. Just not my idea of a hotel stay when my home is so much prettier and nicer. A hotel room should be a delight to come back to each evening. This wasn't. Complimentary breakfast - I think most of the items like cheese/egg patties and breakfast sandwiches are made in the morning and just sit in the warming container all morning. I took a cheese/egg patty and tried to cut it with the cheap plastic knife and fork. After several attempts, I gave up because I couldn't cut a slice of it to even try because it was too hard. Other breakfast items are oatmeal (too watery) with toppings, soft scrambled eggs (ok), belgium waffles (too hard cuz sitting out too long), hard boiled eggs and yogurt and fruit. There was a failed window right outside of our elevator. Full of condensation 100% of the time. When I inspected it, I worried how well the building is being maintained. I had thought better of Marriott properties until now.

I stayed here for almost a week while my house was being worked on, and I could not have chosen a better place. The staff, especially Lupe and Sherwin, were friendly, helpful, and professional. I appreciated having a kitchen, and the free breakfast was good. As advertised, the pool was heated, and there were plenty of clean towels. I would stay here again!

I just wanted to point out that Jenny does a great job with her service. I actually stayed at the Courtyard, and I just came by to do laundry since Residence inn was a sister hotel and there were no laundry at Courtyard. My interaction with her stood out the most because she was very helpful with all my questions and did so with a smile.

A lovely hotel, very nice big room with a full kitchen. Sofa bed not the comfiest to sleep on and pillows aren’t great as they are too thick. Breakfast is ok, but the breakfast area isn’t big enough for all the guests. Swimming pool and whirl pool are great
